ForwardBias Technologies is a privately held software development and Qt consulting
company based in Bangalore, India.
It was founded by Roopesh and Girish in early 2008. For the past two years, we have been trying our hand at various product ideas - sms spam filter, ODF library, iphone development. In parallel, we have been providing Qt consultation to pay our bills. As of mid 2009, we have switched to startup mode and focusing our energies on making our shiny new idea a reality. World domination, here we come!

Showing data being pumped through optical fiber cables made lousy demos. More so, when the fiber and devices are thousands of miles away in San Jose and you are developing in Bangalore. So, Girish quit writing Optical device drivers at Cisco and started his own Qt consultancy in 2005. However, before he could really get started, he was hired by the makers of Qt, Trolltech ASA as a Software Engineer. At Trolltech, he was the primary architect and developer of Qt Style sheets and the Qt autocompletion framework. He was the release manager for the Qt 4.3.x series. As a developer, he is the author of various classes in Qt including QStyledItemDelegate, QLabel, QMessageBox, QSystemTrayIcon and was part of the Qt's revolutionary 'Widgets on Canvas' team.
He is a contributor to the WebKit project.
