Girish started his career writing optical device drivers at Cisco. Hacking on various Open Source projects, he rediscovered Qt and started his own Qt consultancy in 2005. However, before he could really get started, he was hired by the makers of Qt, Trolltech ASA as a Software Engineer.At Trolltech, he was the primary architect and developer of Qt Style sheets and the Qt autocompletion framework. He was the release manager for the Qt 4.3.x series. As a developer, he is the author of various classes in Qt including QStyledItemDelegate, QLabel, QMessageBox, QSystemTrayIcon and was part of the Qt's revolutionary 'Widgets on Canvas' team.
He is a contributor to the WebKit project.

Roop was working for Texas Instruments, Bangalore before he career-shifted from semiconductor CAD to general purpose software.He has architected the development of multiple electronic design automation software for VLSI design within Texas Intruments. He was an expert in timing analysis and has a patent pending on timing constraints. He runs a planet for NGOs and is an occasional blogger and tweeter.
